Construction & Engineering
Working in conjunction with specialist in-house construction and engineering lawyers and advisers we can provide advice and assistance throughout the lifetime of a construction and engineering project. From conception to completion, we advise developers, land owners, building contractors, consultants, funding institutions and sub-contractors.
The team’s work is divided into project work of a non-contentious nature and advising on contentious matters including adjudications, arbitrations, litigation and the various forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Advice extends to:
- procurement advice;
- drafting, negotiating and providing general advice on building and engineering contracts, whether standard form, for example, JCT, NEC, FIDIC, PPC 2000, JCT CEC or bespoke forms;
- design team appointments including standard forms and bespoke forms;
- collateral warranties;
- duty of care deeds and third party rights
- performance bonds and guarantees;
- funding support and due diligence work;
- service supply contracts;
- facilities management contracts.
- PFI contracts
