Responsible for dealing with all minerals and waste planning matters, the range of expertise includes:
- Consultation and advice on planning applications – including applications for waste management facilities such as recycling, composting, landfills and mineral extraction developments such as extensions to existing quarries
- Strategic planning support for policies relating specifically to minerals and waste issues
- Monitoring of mineral and waste sites for compliance with planning conditions and support of enforcement action against unauthorised developments
